Welcome to PB Fitness Achill

Who we are

We offer online workouts from the comfort of your own home using minimal equipment.

Live online training , where your trainer Pam will be there to help you through each move you make. Walking into a gym or starting an online fitness plan can be so daunting, you may think people are looking at you or  feel that you are out of place, so I want everyone to feel at home in whatever classes they decide to join.

Fitness and exercise is for everyone,  any age or fitness level. At the end of the day we all just want to feel better and move better so we can enjoy our lives to the fullest

I have always felt that it is so important to give back to the community in any way possible, from being involved in Colour Runs, training local football teams, the annual Gearoid Smile Three Peak Challenge here in Achill and the annual warm up for Darkness Into Light. There is no better feeling than the way you feel when you help others.

The story of the online training all began last year when the Covid -19 pandemic began. I had always been a class instructor, personal trainer and small group trainer but once the restrictions hit us all, I had to think outside the box. I wanted to keep my members as fit and healthy as possible and do some good. That is when I decided to set up the Online Workout Classes. I held a class every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 6 sessions a week and all the proceeds went to St Colman's Day Care Centre for the elderly in Keel, Achill.

This service was dear to my own heart so it was an easy decision. The amazing community near and far raised a massive €10,243.00, this surpassed my every wish.

So, for me during this un-precedented time in our lives something good came from it, and for that I will be truly grateful.

Lisa Murray's Story Of Success

Before joining Pamela’s classes I felt very sluggish, lazy and my energy levels were very low. I had no motivation to do anything, all I wanted to do is sit around for the day. I didn’t really do any exercise apart from an odd walk here and there. One day I decided that I wanted to change my life and get fit and to lose a bit of weight and feel confident in myself and in my body again. At the beginning I was nervous to join classes as I thought that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with Pamela and the rest of the team but she reassured me that if I wasn’t able to do some movement that she explains easier movements for beginners and that as the weeks would go on that’s I would get stronger and would be able to complete the movements. I find the classes really enjoyable, Pamela is extremely motivating always pushing me to the best of my ability. I started with the mindset of getting fitter and weight loss and her classes helped me to achieve these goals. I find that after completing classes that my energy levels are up compared to when I started and I set myself a goal to complete 10,000 steps a day and to get a walk in. I have started completing 4/5 workouts a week and I really look forward to doing a workout as each day it’s something different. The weekly checkins also help me to stay focused and stay on track and help me stay motivated. I am excited to continue on this journey.
